Hiro Kozato President & CEO
Hiro Kozato is the CEO and President of Techpoint since founding the company in 2012. Mr. Kozato was the former founder and CEO of Techwell whom he took public in 2006 and sold Techwell to Intersil for $455 million in 2010. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Kozato was President of Sigmax, a start-up company based in Silicon Valley developing CD-ROM controller chips. Sigmax was sold to Adaptec in 1996. From 1987 to 1994, Mr. Kozato was the Business Controller for Ricoh, a large Japanese electronics conglomerate, where he was responsible for Ricoh's US semiconductor business. Mr. Kozato started his career at Tomen, a large Japanese trading company. Mr. Kozato holds a B.S. in Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara.
Dr.Feng Kuo CTO
Feng Kuo is the CTO and cofounder of Techpoint. Dr. Kuo served as the Vice President of Engineering at Intersil Corporation after Intersil had acquired Techwell in in 2010 and served as CTO of Techwell from 1998 to 2010. From 1994 to 1996, Dr. Kuo was the VP of Engineering of Sigmax, a start-up company based in the Silicon Valley developing CD-ROM controller chips. Sigmax was sold to Adaptec in 1996. From 1991 to 1994, Dr. Kuo was a Product Manager at Seiko, where he designed a variety of analog and mixed signal semiconductors. Dr. Kuo started his career at Hypres, a superconductor IC Company. Dr. Kuo holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Taiwan National University and a M.S. and PhD from the Stony Brook University of New York.
Stephen Wong Interim CFO
After graduating from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2009, he joined Deloitte & Touche LLP’s audit function in San Jose, CA. During his time at Deloitte, he acquired his US Certified Public Accountant qualification while working in various capacities with clients spanning several industries on initial public offerings and public company reporting. In 2014, he joined Seagate Technology, a data storage company as a manager on the revenue accounting team. After that, in 2016, he joined Techpoint as the Company’s Manager, Accounting and Finance which he has held up until this interim appointment.
Darron Ma General Manager and Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing
Darron Ma is the General Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Techpoint Inc. From 2012 to 2013, Mr. Ma was the Vice President and General Manager of the Video Products Group at Conexant Systems. From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Ma was the Product Line Director of worldwide video business for Intersil Corporation after Intersil had acquired Techwell Inc. From 2004 to 2010, Mr. Ma was the Director of sales and later on the President of Greater China for Techwell Inc. Prior to joining Techwell, Mr. Ma was a Marketing Manager at PLX Technology and an ASIC design engineer at Netchip Technology. Mr. Ma holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UCLA.
Joe Kamei Vice President of Operations
Joe Kamei is the Vice President of Operations at Techpoint. From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Kamei was the Director of Operations at Intersil Corporation after Intersil had acquired Techwell. From 2000 to 2010, Mr. Kamei was the Vice President of Operations for Techwell Inc. From 1998 to 2000, Mr. Kamei was a manager at Kanematsu USA Inc, a Japanese general trading company. From 1991 to 1998, Mr. Kamei was an engineering manager at Ricoh Co., Ltd., a global manufacturer of office automation equipment. Mr Kamei holds a B.S. degree in precise machinery engineering from Tokyo University.

Hiroki Yomogita is Vice President of Corporate Marketing & President of Techpoint Japan K.K. From 2015 to 2016 Mr. Yomogita was Deputy Editor for Nikkei Electronics in Nikkei Business Publications. From 2013 to 2015, he worked as Staff Writer in Business News Department of Nikkei, Inc. From 2006 to 2013 he was Staff Editor and then Deputy Editor for Nikkei Electronics in Nikkei Business Publications. From 2004 to 2006 Mr. Yomogita worked in San Jose as Silicon Valley Bureau Chief of Nikkei Business Publications researching the trends of electronics industry in the U.S. From 1997 to 2004 he was Staff Editor for Nikkei Electronics. Mr. Yomogita holds a M.S. degree in Bio Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
